Meanwhile, we have been married and living in Sweden with our three children for 21 years now. In my early years in Sweden, I was actively writing for the Dutch News (Hollandse Nieuwtjes) of the Dutch Club in Stockholm, and while scrolling through my inbox, I found several emails from 2010 when I was actively involved in the Dutch Chamber as it was taking shape.
For a long time, I had a lot of contact with (among others, Dutch) expats in Stockholm, partly due to my job at the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control where I worked for almost 11 years, resulting in long-lasting friendships that still endure. However, due to our children growing up and my role as HR manager for the Nordics and The Netherlands for ProPharma, a research consulting organisation offering consultancy services in every stage of the pharmaceutical lifecycle, I integrated more into Swedish society than ever before.
Combining my passion for bringing people together, along with my expertise in event organization and my professional background in Sweden, motivated me to pursue the opportunity to become an active board member of the Dutch Chamber responsible for events and members.
My goal is to facilitate the growth of the Chamber and foster connections between professionals in Sweden, while also bridging the gap between Swedish and Dutch business communities (and beyond). Looking forward to meeting you at one of our upcoming events in the Stockholm region soon!"
