I am very happy and even proud that this transition went very smooth… I immediately could focus on my new assignment. A big thank you to Manuel and the other board members for taking up all the work in such a great way.
So what am I doing today?
From my base in Gothenburg, at the office of Business Region Gothenburg, I identify and promote business opportunities in the Nordics for Dutch companies and branches that are working towards solving sustainability goals. In my daily work there is a strong focus on sustainable building and construction, infrastructure & mobility and circular economy solutions.
That this means a lot of networking, connecting the right partners in the Netherlands and the Nordics and organising events might not come as a surprise. I do this together with my super nice colleagues at the 4 embassies and RVO (Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland).
In practice, I do not only work from Gothenburg but also from the Dutch embassies in Copenhagen, Oslo, Stockholm and Helsinki. The train has become a cherished means of transportation, most of the time.
I really enjoy the dynamic and pro-active character of my job, which, in that sense it reminds me of my time at the Dutch Chamber. It is my intention to continue supporting members and network of the Dutch Chamber finding their way in the Nordics. And I really hope that all efforts lead to more sustainable solutions and partnerships.
Hope to see you soon at one of the upcoming events, in Stockholm or Gothenburg. Looking forward to see you at the Annual Dinner in November."
