Living in Sweden suits me well, with the wonderful nature, the space and the cultural traditions (such as Sankta Lucia and Midsommar). Currently, I am working as a Legislative Lawyer for the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, remotely from Sweden. For the moment, this is a good solution. However, in the near future I hope to experience the real Swedish working life, with Swedish colleagues, warm lunches, fika and julbord.
During my job search in Sweden, I was referred to the Dutch Chamber. Initially, I thought the Dutch Chamber was only a place for big companies, but I gave it a try and signed up for the sailing event last year. This was a good decision! I enjoyed the beautiful sailing trip, but also experienced the kindness of the other participants. And after that, many events followed.
I am honored to be appointed as Regional Director. I am looking forward to organising many inspiring and fun events together with Viola, Johannes and the rest of the Dutch Chamber. My goal is to attract more young professionals, and give them the same experience I got: joining the Dutch Chamber is not scary but an enrichment of your time in Sweden."
