Ice hockey professionals in our Göteborg network
The evening started with a bbq-dinner in Scandinavium, the arena for the ice hockey game. Ice hockey legend and Dutch Chamber member Joris Van den Bossche explained the rules. He played for Belgian teams on professional level and was referee back in the days. Today he works at Volvo Trucks. Volvo is corporate member, with many colleagues joining this event.
Participant Marco van der Wal from Camino Vastgoed BV: ’I was not sure whether I would be in Sweden during this event. Luckily Team West made it possible for me to join last minute. The coincidence is that I am, just like Joris, a former hockey player. I played for the Dutch Premier Hockey Division Smoke Eaters in Geleen.’
Seating arrangements
Networking whilst seated?! To avoid limited networking, seating arrangements were made which made it possible to change rows during every break. An ice hockey game namely exist of three play sessions which have an 18 minutes pause. The perfect moment to speak with other participants in the lounge and then take new seats, with new persons to exchange ideas with. Participant Jurgen Bouw from Proxify: ’I have met so many engaging people who don’t know each other and very much enjoy each others company. Thank you for organising this event! I will definitely keep an eye on Dutch Chambers event calendar for future events.’
